What to Look For in Truly Clean Skincare
"Clean" is on every label these days, but the word isn't regulated. Here's how to read past the marketing and find skincare that's actually clean.
A short ingredient list
The fewer the ingredients, the fewer the surprises. If the list runs longer than a paragraph, ask why.
Ingredients you can pronounce
Grass-fed tallow, olive oil, beeswax, lavender — real things. If most of the list reads like a chemistry exam, keep looking.
No hidden "fragrance"
A single word, "fragrance," can legally hide dozens of ingredients. Look for products scented with named botanicals instead.
Honest sourcing
Clean isn't only about what's left out — it's about the quality of what's in. Grass-fed, small-batch, and traceable beat vague and anonymous.
Claims that can be checked
Trust brands that tell you exactly what's inside and where it came from, not just how it makes you feel.
We built our line around exactly these standards. See what's in — and left out of — White Sparrow skincare.
